This white wine garlic shrimp pasta is perfect for a special dinner with family and friends, a holiday, or a nice weekend date at home. I love this recipe because it’s so simple and yet so delicious everyone will love it! Plus, it’s done in 20 minutes or less.
The sauce is a simple blend of sautéed onions and garlic, white wine, cream, and shrimps. It’s so flavorful, and it could not be easier to make. I chose to use gluten free pasta, but feel free to use whatever pasta you have on hand.
How to make white wine garlic shrimp pasta
Step 1
Heat some olive oil in a pan and cook the shrimps. Set them aside and add some more olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic.
Step 2
Add the white wine and let the alcohol cook off for about 1-2 minutes. Add the cream and stir, stir, stir. Season with salt, and pepper, and then add the parsley.
Step 3
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package directions. Transfer the pasta directly from the pot to the pan using tongs or a spaghetti spoon. Toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.
How to store white wine garlic shrimp pasta
Store leftover pasta in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat in the microwave or a pan. If needed, thin the pasta by adding a splash of water or milk and stir.

Description
The easiest most delicious creamy white wine garlic shrimp pasta you will ever taste!
Ingredients
- 250 g pasta of choice (certified gluten free)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 250 g raw shrimps, peeled and diveined
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Parmesan cheese (optional), to top
Instructions
- In a pan, heat some olive oil over medium heat and add in the raw shrimps. Cook on both sides until the shrimps are no longer translucent. Remove the cooked shrimps from the pan and place them on a plate.
- In the same pan, add some more olive oil and sauté the onions and the garlic, for 5-7 minutes until the onions are translucent and the garlic is fragrant.
- In the meantime, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package directions. Before draining, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- Back to your pan, pour in the white wine and let it cook off and evaporate, about 2 minutes. Stir in the cream, salt and pepper, and parsley. Let simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the cooked pasta from the pot directly to the pan and the cooked shrimp. Toss until the pasta is evenly coated with sauce. Add pasta water as needed to make the sauce even more creamy.
- Serve and top with parmesan cheese and extra salt and pepper, to taste.
