Healthy Chocolate Cornflakes Bites

These gluten free and vegan chocolate cornflakes bites are covered in chocolate with a dark chocolate layer on top. The best combination!


  • 3/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 3 cups corn flakes
  • 1 1/2 cup 70% dark chocolate flakes/chips
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil


  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, stir de maple syrup, coconut oil, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt until well blended.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the corn flakes and pour the liquid mixture. Mix until all the corn flakes are evenly coated.
  3. Line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper. Let the sides of the parchment paper hang over the edges so it’s easier to lift later. Pour the mixture into the pan and press it using the back of your rubber spatula or a flat measuring cup.
  4. In the microwave in 20-second intervals, melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil. Pour it evenly on top of the corn flakes treats.
  5. Place in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours. To slice, run a knife over hot water, and then gently cut into squares.
