My top tips for making avocado toast with feta cheese
Use a ripe avocado – a ripe avocado feels slightly soft, but not mushy to the touch. When you open it, you want your avocado to be a nice bright green.
How to perfectly slice avocado – use a sharp knife to cut the avocado lengthwise. Twist each half in opposite directions to open. To remove the pit, carefully whack the seed, gently turn the knife, and lift the seed. Place the avocado halves cut-side-down on your cutting board. Peel using your fingers, the skin should peel right off. Using a sharp knife, slice lengthwise for longer pieces.
Ingredients you’ll need
Toast – pick your favorite (use gluten free if needed)
Avocado – use a ripe avocado, slightly soft but also slightly firm
Feta cheese – for flavor
Everything but the bagel seasoning – the flavor of this seasoning is really an added touch, if you don’t have this at hand you can try mixing equal amounts of dried minced garlic, dried minced onion, and sesame seeds. Just make sure to spread it evenly over the toast so you get the flavor in every bite.
Cilantro leaves – for flavor
Salt and pepper – to taste
